35th Annual MS Read-A-Thon

The MS Society celebrates the 35th year of the MS Read-A-Thon, the Society's longest running fundraising program. From January though April more than 300 elementary schools across the province participate in the MS Read-A-Thon, which promotes literacy while raising pledges based on the number of minutes spent reading. Money raised helps to fund research into the cause and cure of multiple sclerosis, the most common disease of the central nervous system in young adults in Canada.  Since the program's inception in 1977 student's have read 20 million books and raised more than $40 million for MS research.
