Lace-up for MS

This May, lace-up those sneakers for the annual MS Walk. The kick-off event to MS Awareness Month, the MS Walk takes place in 56 communities across Ontario, and will take place in Burlington, Milton and Oakville on May 5 and in Mississauga on May 26. Funds raised through pledges will help support the MS Society's mission to find a cure and better the lives of those already affected by the disease. The most common neurological disease among young adults in Canada, Multiple Sclerosis is an often debilitating disease of the brain and spinal cord affecting between 55,000 and 75,000 Canadians. Due to the affects of MS, the MS walk provides a wheelchair accessible route allowing everyone the same opportunity to participate in this important event.
