Sherway Gardens revamped

The GTA's first Nordstrom, four new full-service restaurants including P.F. Chang's, and expansions of your favourite stores like Harry Rosen and Sporting Life are just a few things you can expect to see from Cadillac Fairview's $350 million revitalization and expansion of Sherway Gardens. The 41-year-old shopping centre is, as of press time, set to begin renovations this month including the restoration of the existing floor, complete replacement of the ceiling and new lighting installations throughout the shopping centre. One of the more significant renovations involves the creation of a 65,000 square foot green roof in order to help slow storm water runoff, benefiting both the city and the environment. With 90,000 square feet of remerchandising and renovations, the addition of 210,000 square feet of new retail space, a new set of public washrooms and the development of a brand new, three-level parkade housing 1,200 parking spaces the project is estimated to take approximately 45 months to complete.
