Tahiti treat

Experience the turquoise waters of Tahiti with the new Tahitian Affair itinerary from small ship cruise expert AdventureSmith Explorations. Eight and 11-day round-trip cruises aboard the 24-guest luxury yacht Island Passage depart from May through October and include on-board accommodations, meals, itinerary-based shore excursions, use of kayaks, tenders, snorkel and fishing equipment and airport ferry transfer. On board, guests have access to a dining and salon area on the expansive aft deck, oversize staterooms and suites with oceans views, fine linens, French soaps and toiletries and fresh flowers. The Island Passage cruises for only three to four hours daily before laying anchor allowing for leisurely swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding from small reef islands that only small vessels can access. On foot, guests can tour village life on the islands of Tahaí¡, Raiatea and Huahine, visit a vanilla plantation, local markets and the Maeva Marae archaeological site. “Traditionally cruises on these waters are aboard much larger vessels accommodating from 120 guests and up,” said Todd Smith, AdventureSmith Explorations' founder and president. “In stark contrast, the new Tahitian Affair that begins and ends in Bora Bora offers up unparalleled intimacy in a relaxing, lagoon-cruising style highly suited to this environment.”
