This year's 2012 Decorating and Design Competition had local decorators seeing bronze, silver, and gold. Held by the Canadian Decorators' Association, the awards aim to choose projects that mirror the innovation and creativity needed to work within the Canadian interior and decoration design industry. Local winners included Oakville residents Nicole Jenkins with a bronze and Toula Piliouras with silver, both in the Student category. Kasia Waloszczyk won silver in the Kitchens under $35,000 category, and in the Interior Decorating over $20,000 category Burlington resident Brenda Router came out on top with the gold.
