Holiday Decor 2014

Whether you are a fan of glitz and glam, mix-and-match or timeless traditions, we have something to help inspire your holiday décor this season. With the assistance of four Oakville and Burlington retailers, we have brought together an array of design styles to help get you, and your home, into the holiday spirit.

Silver & Gold
Pulling away from the traditional colours of red and green, this silver and gold table broadens the season by celebrating winter as a whole as opposed to any one specific holiday. The use of these colours in combination with nature themes, such as the antler trees, and a touch of sparkle means you can extend your table setting to before and after the holidays, so there's no rush to hide the decorations the moment Christmas dinner ends. Mercury glass and gold rimmed dinnerware bring a polished, complete look to the table while the custom, locally made wooden table and wood trimmed chairs bring us back to nature.

Mix N Match
Eclectic pops of patchwork make for a relaxed table setting dominated by traditional reds and tied together by vibrant green dishware and silver accents. In lieu of placing the classic Christmas crackers at place settings, give guests a take-home token of an evening well spent in the form of a Christmas ornament that they can hang on their own tree for years to come. Petite vintage inspired chair place card holders sweetly tell guests where to take a seat and bowls of jingle bells and pomegranates add a subtle seasonal touch.

Vintage
What's old is new again when it comes to this silver and gold tinsel tree. Adorned with seemingly timeless vintage ornaments bringing back memories of yesteryear, a simple wrapping of French linen in place of a traditional tree skirt pairs down the tree's brightness while staying in line with the old-fashioned appearance. Placed in a modern setting, the tinsel tree breathes new life into this formerly kitschy look.

Holiday Brunch
Skip the dinner stress and instead offer guests a relaxed holiday brunch. The use of mugs in place of napkin rings and mix-and-match Nordic patterned plates bring an informal yet comfortable feel to the table while the sparkling white fairy and glitter stars reiterate the holiday season. Bold reds in the form of placemats bring warmth to the setting with the American-made crackle candles finishing off the table.
