Bronte Creek's Annual Maple Syrup Festival
Celebrate the history and culture of maple at Bronte Creek's Annual Maple Syrup Festival in Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Tour guides dress in turn-of-the-century attire while giving demonstrations on the making of maple taffy and guided tours of Maple Lane. Stop for a bite at the pancake house, explore the heritage homestead and witness heritage artisan demonstrations, pet the farm animals, go on a wagon ride and sample fresh maple candy. Daily Vehicle Fee applies, food and other purchases extra. Open every weekend in March and daily throughout March Break from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Joseph Brant Hospital's New Hospital Mock-Up Rooms
Joseph Brant Hospital will be unveiling the new hospital in 2017, but in the meantime, will be hosting five mock up rooms for the general public to get an idea of what's in store. The mock-ups include a Patient Room, Emergency Department Exam Room, Trauma Resuscitation Room, Intensive Care Unit Room and an Operating Room. Designed to promote patient and family-centred care, each room uses the latest technological advancements for outstanding healthcare services. The Open House will be taking place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 and Wednesday, April 20 in a warehouse on Harrington Court with blue signs helping to direct you to the space. Easter EGGstravaganza
Get ready for a day of family fun in Bronte Village with the Easter EGGstravaganza. Make crafts with the Bronte Village Residents Association at the craft table, partake in the Easter Colouring Contest courtesy of Trias Gallery, enjoy music courtesy of Retro Rock Lounge, free hot chocolate from Tim Hortons and head to the Gazebo for the Easter Bunny Meet & Greet. BurlingtonGreen's Clean Up Green Up
This yearly event asks community members to get together to help clean-up and beautify the city. Hosted by BurlingtonGreen in partnership with the City of Burlington, citizens, schools, groups and business come together every April to clean up litter and garbage in the city. To date, more than 55,000 people have joined in leaving us with cleaner parks and neighbourhoods for both residents and wildlife.

Canadian Cancer Society Great Ride N Stride
The 37th Canadian Cancer Society Great Ride N Stride event helps to raise funds for cancer research and support programs through pledge-based fundraising and has raised over $6.4 million to date. The longest running fundraiser in Burlington, participants can choose to ride bikes, walk, run, or rollerblade routes ranging from 5km to 10km, rain or shine. Quilted Expressions
Hosted by the Oakville Quilters' Guild, the Quilted Expressions show will take place over the last week in April and will feature vendors, a member's boutique, demonstrations, over 200 quilts and a quilt to be raffled off as well as a café for refreshments. Admission is $8.

Jane's Walk Mississauga
Inspired by writer and urban activist Jane Jacobs, Jane's Walk is a global movement of free, locally led walking tours helping to bring people together in their respective cities through conversation. East Meets West Extravaganza
The Halton Region Chinese Canadian Association (HRCCA) hosts the East Meets West Extravaganza on Saturday, May 14. The night will feature a series of performances showcasing the talents and cultural diversity of the community with performances by the Oakville Children's Choir, Coco Ma, Apex Drumming Team, Yuanyin Music Group, Toronto Chinese Orchestra and the Kaleidoscope Chinese Performing Arts Society. The evening will also include hors d'oeuvres from Spoon & Fork Plus, silent auction, Chinese Musical Instrument Workshop Presentation, live music provided by Steinway Spirio and a cash bar, all in support of the Oakville Hospital Foundation.
