St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School turns 125

Oakville's St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. Originally opened in Toronto as St. Mildred's College in 1891 followed by The (Miss) Lightbourn School in Oakville in 1923, it wasn't until 1969 when they two combined to create the St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School as we know it today. Throughout the year the school will be celebrating this major milestone with a series of events including an exhibit at Oakville Museums running from late 2015 to June 2016.
