Saving Women from their Shoes

Founded by Ted Rogers School of Management marketing major Hailey Coleman, Damn Heels is dedicated to saving women from their (beloved) damn heels. After one excruciatingly painful, hour-long post-party walk home in London, England, Coleman decided that walking the streets barefoot was a faux pas that could ““ and needed ““ to be prevented. She created sexy, fold-up flats tucked into an expandable bag, small enough to pop into any clutch, desk or suitcase. Coleman’s idea was awarded first prize at this year’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Ryerson Slaight Communications Business Plan Competition. Coleman also won first place last December in the Ontario Partnership for Innovation and Commercialization business plan competition and will pitch her business plan on Dragons’ Den this fall.
