Make the pledge to eat locally

Whole Foods Market Oakville teams up with the Royal Botanical Gardens in an effort to promote eating locally with the Veggie Village: 100 Mile Produce Garden. Buying local has a positive effect on our environment due to shorter transportation time from farm to table resulting in lower CO2 emissions, as well as a fresher product. Take the “Veg Pledge” and promise to use at least one locally grown ingredient in as little as one meal per week for a year.

In support of the RBG's Veggie Village, Whole Foods Market Oakville will host a Long Table Community Dinner on Tuesday, September 13 to raise funds for the project.  Whole Foods Market Oakville will also be hosting a Community Support Day on Wednesday, September 14, where 5 per cent of all sales will be donated towards RBG programming.
