New snack pops up in Hamilton

Whether it's savoury or sweet, who can resist the crunchy goodness of a handful of popcorn? Husband and wife team Greg and Casandra Prystie sure can't! After falling for a particular flavour of popcorn in Casanda's hometown of Pittsburgh and unable to find it in their new home of Hamilton, the couple decided to go into the business of popping kernels. Now the proud owners of The Hamilton Popcorn Company, the couple boasts flavours such as Chicago Style, Donut, Sriracha Cheese, and the one that started it all ““ Peanut Butter Chocolate. Having recently acquired their new permanent spot on the lower level of the Hamilton Farmers' Market, all flavours (aside from cheese-flavoured, but don't worry, they're working on it!) are made from scratch and are popped using Uncle Bob's Gourmet Popping Corn. Available starting at $3.50, bags can also be purchased for three for $10. The Hamilton Farmers' Market is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
