Satiety at sea

Luxury cruise operator Cunard Lines has upped the dining ante at sea with their newest alternative dining venue, The Verandah. Opened aboard the Queen Victoria the 100-seat venue replaces the Todd English Restaurant and is based on the same concept as the Queen Elizabeth's award-winning Verandah Restaurant with a slightly differing menu and a sophisticated, contemporary relaxed theme. The star of the menu, created by Cunard Line global culinary ambassador and Michelin-starred Chef Patron Jean-Marie Zimmermann, is the Carpaccio of Smoked Beef with Marinated Aubergine, Quail's Egg and Truffle Mayonnaise served under a glass cloche filled with scented smoke. As a whole the menu includes a choice of seven entrees, eleven plats principaux including Beef and Lobster Flambéed with Cognac and Truffle with Parmesan Fries and Banked Rack of Lamb in Pastry with Morel Mushrooms and Madeira Reduction as well as six dessert choices. This vacation let your taste buds lead the way..
