Holiday Decor

Trim the tree and set the table with festive flair with the help of three local design divas. Whether your taste is for shimmering metallic, or natural florals we have a look to inspire.

The Holiday Table
Christmas comes just once a year, and just as important as making delicious food for that big family dinner you host, is the table setting. A winter wonderland is brought to your table through the use of twig runners, birch deer and feathered Christmas trees. Sparkles touch several items creating the same shimmer as freshly fallen snow. Pam Chisholm, owner of In House and In House Etc., filled the table with tiny embellishments such as the porcelain flower napkin rings resulting in the place settings containing an air of quiet elegance.

Oh Christmas Tree
If you're an urbanite who loves a little country flare than this tree is for you, according to Marnie Warman, owner of Interior Design House. Rustic Urban Chic takes the feel of country and gives it a little sophistication with pieces such as woven vine balls and wired twig garland. The fashionista in you will love the shine of the silver sparkle poinsettias brought together with the long-tailed glitter bird. These different worlds are blended effortlessly as one by one another's simplicity and glamour respectively.

Holiday Florals
This Christmas toss the fake flowers and bring on the real deal with a Natural Christmas. Susan Bober, Blossom's co-owner, says real plants can last a full week before starting to age and add to the whimsical feel of the season. A green floral arrangement adds a distinct touch to Christmas décor with a burst of red roses tying the theme together. Get custom arrangements to match your seasonal settings and colour schemes and you'll be sure to have a Christmas to remember.
