Princess Margaret Oakville Grand Prize Showhome

The new Oakville showhome is part of a $7.2 Million Grand Prize up for grabs in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery. Custom-built by PCM Inc. with interior design by Brian Gluckstein, the home features a full chef’s kitchen, fun rock-climbing wall, pool and home theatre. Proceeds support cancer research.

Khachi Design + Build New Venture

Oakville-based Khachi Design + Build is launching a new subsidiary company called Metallo, providing highly functional, design-forward and beautiful metal surfaces suitable for homes and the hospitality industry. Metallo Surfaces, a new series of metal-gilded surfaces, employs artisanal finishing techniques to apply liquid metal coatings onto waterproof substrates. The result is a sophisticated surface that imitates metal countertops without the expense or limitations.

All-Female Condo Development Crew

Reina on the Queensway, an eight-story condo, will be built and designed by Canada’s first all-female development crew. Taya Cook of Urban Capital Developments and Sherry Larjani of Spotlight Development have formed a team of 12 development industry veterans, including design by Heather Rolleston and Lisa Spinsieri of Quadrangle Architects.

Diptyque Paris Coming to Yorkdale

The luxury and internationally acclaimed Maison Diptyque is opening its doors to the first Canadian standalone store, located in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The 484-square foot space was developed in accordance with the new “Maison” image and architectural evolution of the brand. Customers can look forward to signature candles, bath and body care, fragrances, home décor and more.
